Nobody wants their wig to look like a wig. Plucking is an important step to take when wearing a real hair wig. The most popular pre-plucked lace front wigs have a thin, realistic hairline. Many women want them because of the natural appearance they provide. A plucked wig creates baby hair on the hairline to mimic a natural hairline.

pluck a wig

Women prefer plucked wigs to unplucked wigs because they save time and effort in manually plucking the hair. If you want a perfect hairline, you can do it yourself. It usually takes a long time, but if you have the patience and experience, you can do it in less than 30 minutes.

However, it may not look natural on wigs that are not pre-plucked. To get the perfect wig, you must manually remove the wig. Here are some easy customization steps you can do on an unplucked wig.

If you don't have a pre-plucked wig, these steps will help you achieve the natural look you desire. Pulling wigs on human hair wigs, lace front wigs, and curly real hair wigs may appear difficult at first, but it will become second nature.

Why should you pluck your wig?

Pre-plucked wigs have taken over the hair industry, but some wigs are not pre-plucked. If you like the look of a realistic wig, you should put it on. This will give you a realistic hairline.

Should I bleach the knots in my hair?

Should I bleach the knots in my hair?

If you notice that your knots are not bleached, we recommend that you bleach them to achieve a more natural appearance. But it's not easy, so we'll give you some pointers on how to bleach your knots successfully. And whether you're bleaching your wig, your lace front, or your lace closure, these tips will come in handy.

● Flip the wig over and pin it to the foam head/model head.

● Cut off your little hairs

● Use bleach, don't pour it all over the wig, and make sure the mixture doesn't run.

● Use a developer between 20 and 30

● Use a blending brush and lightly ignite your mixture. If the pressure is too high, your mixture will leak and this will cause your hair to be bleached.

● Make sure you have enough bleach to cover all the hair knots.

● Cover your lace with aluminum foil or gauze.

● Once the knots are no longer visible and they are honey blonde, wrap the foil or gauze around them.

● Rinse out the bleach and wash the wig with a neutralizing shampoo, allowing the bleaching process to finish, leaving it on for 5 to 10 minutes, then rinse well. Condition the wig so that it does not become dry and brittle.

● Dry your hair, towel it off and let it air dry. If you choose to use a hair dryer, use a heat protectant and blow dry on the lowest temperature possible.

The steps to plunking wigs.

Step 1: Bleach the wig knots.

The knots can be bleached to make the wig look more natural. This step is entirely optional and can be skipped if necessary. Begin by bleaching the knots around the small area at the base of the cap. This is where the majority of the hair on the wig is attached.

Depending on your preferences, add two tablespoons of bleach powder to the developer and mix. To avoid bleeding into the hair, keep the developer a slightly thicker consistency. Make sure to carefully apply the above mixture to your hair.

Step 2: Wash your wig cap.

Allow the bleach to sit for at least 30 to 45 minutes for the best results. Next, shampoo the bleached areas of the cap. Allow it to sit for 3–4 minutes before rinsing.

While bleaching the knots can make the wig look more natural, it is strongly advised to seek professional assistance for the best results. If you are concerned that the bleach will damage your wig, apply the foundation inside the lace for a seamlessly blended wig.

Step 3: Remove the wig.

This is the crucial step in actually removing the wig. Place the hair on top of a mannequin and begin customizing the hairline. Less hair needs to be plucked when using pre-plucked wigs.

After plucking the hair, apply a small amount of mousse around the hairline. A curling iron can be used to help push the hair back. Using mousse will make it easier to tweeze your hair.

4th: Blow dry the wig

After you've finished Step 3, blow dry your hair because it will be easier to see your hairline when it's dry. Apply a small amount of coconut oil to your hair after that. Begin the picking process by obtaining the best tweezers.

To achieve good results, use high-quality tweezers. Begin tweezing near the hairline to remove any knots that have not been sufficiently bleached. The next step is to separate the hair and return it to the hairline with tweezers.

Only plucking the front hair will not remove any excess hair. This will make it bulky and ruin the overall appearance. When using tweezers, be cautious not to pluck only one area for an extended period of time.

Step 5: Remove more hair

Remove some more hair. Remember to pull out some hair from the part that is thinner than the rest this time. The frontal lobe will appear more natural because it will create a gradient effect with the hairline.

Step 6: Baby Hair

After you've finished creating your natural hairline, cut a small amount of hair from the front of the wig to mimic baby hair. This gives the hairline a natural appearance, and your wig is now ready to wear.

You can remove the wig without using tweezers or mannequins. When you don't have tweezers, pluck the hair with your fingers. Some may find this difficult, but it is not. Put the wig directly on your head if you don't have a mannequin.

Hold your lace tightly to avoid over-pulling. Some people prefer this method because you can control the direction of your hairline when wearing a wig.

In the End

These are the steps for plunking the wig, as you can see. Anyone can safely design any hair texture wig and make it look effortless by following these simple steps. Plucking a wig improves the appearance of any wig and allows you to wear it with confidence and ease.
